Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Ground Worker/Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting construction and landscaping projects by assisting with various manual tasks on-site. Duties
- Assisting with site preparation, including clearing debris and organising materials
- Digging trenches, holes, and foundations as required
- Moving and handling materials such as bricks, cement, and tools around the site
- Supporting skilled tradespeople with their tasks as needed
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by removing waste and hazards
- Assisting with the setup and dismantling of scaffolding or temporary structures
- Operating basic tools and equipment under supervision
- Following health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a secure working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in manual labour or construction work is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks throughout the working day
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors
- A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory; however, ability to assist with transportation of materials is beneficial
