Location: Swansea (Hybrid Office Based)

Taxta is a modern, fast-growing accountancy practice that helps businesses across the UK with bookkeeping, accounts, payroll, VAT and business advice. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional client service through technology, efficiency and a personal approach.

We're looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team. If you're organised, detail-oriented and enjoy building strong relationships with clients, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

You'll be responsible for managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across a range of industries, ensuring their financial records are accurate, up to date and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients
Processing sales and purchase invoices
Bank reconciliations
Credit card and expense reconciliations
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Maintaining accurate financial records
Liaising directly with clients to answer bookkeeping queries
Identifying opportunities to improve clients' bookkeeping processes
Internal credit control
Client onboarding

Essential Requirements

Minimum of 2 years' experience using QuickBooks Online
At least 2 years' bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice or similar environment
Excellent understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
Experience preparing VAT returns
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Ability to manage multiple client deadlines
Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills
