Apprentice – Electrician

Salary: £24,521 p.a. plus benefits and tool allowance

37 hours per week

We are looking for an Electrical Installation and maintenance Apprentice, based within the Swindon areas of Wiltshire, to assist with the service delivery of planned and reactive maintenance work.

This is a fixed term contract in accordance with the length of the apprenticeship.

You will be qualified to:

4 GCSEs at grade C or above including Math and English.
Numerate and literate
Ability to learn and to apply knowledge in a practical setting
Willingness to learn to drive - hold at least a provisional driving license or will obtain a provisional driving license upon appointment and pass the SBC transport driver assessment.
Some experience of dealing with the public
Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people
Can demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems
Shows a basic understanding of the work of the relevant trade.

The Job requirements are:

Support and assist the service to carry out Electrical maintenance work.
Must attend internal and external training to extend knowledge in any necessary trade skill areas
To attain apprenticeship Level 3, (Electrical)
Gain Knowledge on Statutory and non-statutory requirements.
Continue to gain experience in the use of data recording and analysing equipment.
To maintain the highest level in customer care and in line with service standards.

The successful candidate will:

Have good communication and organisational skills and be able to work in a methodical and calm manner
Ensure accuracy and pay attention to details
Be self-motivated and able to work within a team
Can use own initiative
Have the ability to work under pressure achieving Client Service Level’s and Key Performance Indicators and to specified deadlines
Be presentable, wear uniform supplied and able to undertake duties in line with Managements’ recommendations, instructions, company policy, and in accordance with client requirements
Be competent in the use of data recording and analysing equipment.

Applicants must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
