Full job description

We are currently prioritising candidates who are immediately available or have short notice periods (less than 2 weeks) due to active project demand. Although this is a rolling contract, we are also offering select permeant positions and hope to transition contract to permanent roles.

UAVTEK is looking for practical, detail-focused Assembly Technicians to join our growing team working on cutting-edge unmanned systems (drones). This is a hands-on role building professional-grade equipment used in real-world applications.

You’ll join a small, friendly team in a fast-paced environment where quality, reliability, and teamwork matter.

Working Hours

Full-time: Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00 / 09:00-17:30

We currently have an active production requirement requiring additional assembly support immediately, with strong potential for longer-term opportunities for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble mechanical and electronic components to a high standard
Build drones, sub-assemblies, and electronic modules
Install wiring looms, connectors, and cable assemblies
Carry out basic testing and quality checks
Follow engineering drawings and work instructions
Complete build documentation and records
Maintain a clean and organised workspace

Requirements

Experience in assembly, manufacturing, electronics, or similar hands-on work
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality
Confident using hand tools
Able to follow instructions accurately and work methodically
Reliable, organised, and a good team player
Basic IT skills
Available for full-time work or flexible evening/weekend shifts

Desirable (Not Essential)

Soldering experience
Familiarity with multimeters or electronic test equipment
Experience with drones, robotics, RC systems, or similar technologies
