Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Assistant with minimum AAT level 4 qualification with a minimum of 7 years experience to join our finance team. This role involves managing various accounting functions, ensuring accurate data entry, and supporting the financial operations of our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience with accounting software and financial systems, contributing to the smooth running of our accounts department. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional development within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Utilise accounting software such as Sage to maintain financial records.
Perform data entry tasks related to financial transactions, reconciliations, and ledger updates.
Assist with month-end closing procedures and prepare relevant reports for management review.
Support the utilisation of Sage for various accounting functions and reporting requirements.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy in financial data and compliance with organisational policies.
Maintain organised records of all financial transactions in accordance with company standards.
Contribute to process improvements within the accounts department to enhance efficiency.
Bank reconciliations
VAT understanding
Maintain Company processes
Sales Ledger including Credit Control

Qualifications

Proven experience working with accounting software including Sage
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial services operations.
Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Prior experience in a similar senior accounts role or within a finance team is preferred.
Familiarity with financial reporting standards and organisational compliance requirements.
Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks effectively within a fast-paced environment.
