Overall purpose of the role

To provide a one‑stop residential conveyancing service to clients and referrers, delivering a consistently high standard of service while ensuring full compliance with regulatory, legislative and firm‑wide requirements.

Key responsibilities

Manage and control your own caseload from inception through to completion
Ensure clients obtain good and marketable title to property
Communicate regularly and effectively with clients and third parties
Review, check and deal with mortgage offers
Supervise and support paralegals and/or assistants where required
Maintain compliance with all regulatory, legislative and firm‑wide policies and procedures
Undertake conveyancing transactions in line with the firm’s CQS accreditation
Maintain individual competence and contribute positively to the wider Residential Property team
Work collaboratively with the Post‑Completion and Welcome Teams to deliver a seamless client experience.

What we’re looking for

Essential

A recognised legal qualification or substantiated conveyancing experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar residential property role
Proven ability to manage your own caseload, including volume conveyancing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A flexible, organised and adaptable approach to work
Strong problem‑solving and customer service skills
A positive, enthusiastic and self‑motivated team player
A strong commitment to confidentiality and professional standards

Desirable

Solicitor, CLC or CILEx qualification
Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
