Job Summary

Dovetail Greenhouses is a second-generation family firm established over thirty years ago. We hand-make and install bespoke aluminium greenhouses across the whole of the UK.

We are looking for a reliable and hard working Greenhouse Fitter / Fabricator to join our growing team. This is a varied role that combines factory-based preparation work with on-site greenhouse installation. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, take pride in producing high-quality work and be willing to travel when required.

Full training will be given. We are initially looking to fill a part-time position, most likely Mondays to Wednesdays but with flexibility, for a trial period at the end of which the role may expand to become full-time.

Responsibilities

Prepare greenhouse structures and components in the factory for installation.
Assemble and check parts to ensure they meet quality standards before dispatch.
Load and unload materials and equipment safely.
Assist with on-site greenhouse fitting and construction projects.
Follow technical drawings, specifications and installation procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Work as part of a team to meet production and installation deadlines.
Carry out quality checks to ensure all work is completed to a high standard.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Practical hands-on skills and experience using hand and power tools.
Good work ethic with a positive and flexible attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.
Comfortable with early morning starts and occasional overnight stays.
Comfortable with working both in a factory environment and outside in all weathers.
Basic math skills for measurements and interpreting technical drawings.
The successful candidate will need to be able to travel independently to our site.
A full UK driving licence would be useful.
