Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bookeeper to join our busy event installation business. This role is essential to maintaining our company's financial records by managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and posting VAT returns.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of XERO accounting software and Excel, possess excellent communication and organisational skills and become an active member of the office team contributing to the efficient operation of the business and satisfaction of our clients..

Responsibilities

Process all invoices promptly and accurately
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded
Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual closing procedures
Liaise with vendors, clients, and colleagues regarding account queries for efficient cash flow.
Manage and maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable using Xero
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
Maintain organised filing systems for financial documents and records
Assist in general office duties.

Experience

Proven experience in a finance administrative role
Proficiency in Xero is essential
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
