We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join us!

This is a full time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £26,895 - £30,132 per annum.

The role:

The Occupational Therapy Assistant role is within the Front Door Team which consists of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and Social Care Practitioners.

The Front Door Team is where people begin their journey with Adult Social Care. It is the place where we listen first, understand what matters, and work alongside residents to find the right support at the right time. We work with adults across the borough who may be experiencing changes in their health, independence, or wellbeing. This includes people living with physical or sensory impairments, age-related conditions, mental health needs, neurodivergence, or substance use challenges. Our role is to offer early, short-term support, helping people regain confidence, maintain independence, and stay connected to their communities.

Your role will involve:

Assessments and interventions for residents with physical disabilities, not excluding cognitive decline.
Working with other professionals to support identified outcomes.
Holding and managing a case load.

What we are looking for:

Experience working within health, social care, occupational therapy, or a related support role.
Be passionate about supporting adults to maintain their independence and remain safe within their communities.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, carers, and partner agencies.
