Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in sheet metal fabrication and assembly, with a focus on precision and quality. Duties
- Fabricate, cut, and shape sheet metal components according to technical drawings and specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised tooling for precise fabrication and assembly
- Perform grinding, welding, and finishing tasks to ensure smooth surfaces and secure joints
- Assist in the assembly of sheet metal parts into larger structures or systems
- Conduct basic measurements and calculations using standard mathematical principles to ensure accuracy
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised workspace throughout production processes
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot fabrication issues and optimise workflow efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes
- Proficiency with grinding, welding, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to sheet metal components and systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately
- Competence in using tooling equipment safely and effectively
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control checks
- Familiarity with basic assembly techniques and the use of hand tools for precise fitting
