Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cladder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing cladding systems on various structures, ensuring durability, safety, and aesthetic appeal. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The position offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills within the building industry while contributing to high-quality projects.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical schematics and drawings to determine installation requirements
- Measure, cut, and shape materials using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Install cladding panels securely on building exteriors, ensuring proper alignment and finish
- Utilise welding techniques where necessary to join metal components
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to handle large or cumbersome materials
- Conduct roofing work as needed, including waterproofing and sealing joints
- Assist with related construction activities such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or general fabrication tasks
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or roofing roles with knowledge of cladding installation preferred
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery
- Knowledge of carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or roofing is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when required
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards within the construction industry
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
