Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of premises, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment through effective surveillance, loss prevention, and excellent customer service. This role is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety. All positions are paid, including internships.

Duties

Monitor entrances and exits to prevent unauthorised access and maintain order on the premises
Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to identify suspicious activity
Enforce security policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and company standards
Assist with loss prevention by deterring theft and handling incidents discreetly and professionally
Provide first aid assistance when necessary, ensuring prompt response to medical emergencies
Manage crowd control during events or busy periods, ensuring a safe environment for all visitors
Record detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with team members and management
Maintain a visible presence to deter antisocial behaviour and ensure the safety of staff and visitors

Experience

Previous experience in security or door supervision is advantageous but not essential; relevant training will be provided
Knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, and loss prevention strategies is desirable
Valid SIA licence is required for all applicants
First aid certification is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour at all times
