Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front Of House Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our family-run cafe restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front-of-house staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for hospitality, leadership, and team management to contribute to a welcoming atmosphere and ensure smooth service delivery.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate front-of-house team members, including hosts, servers, and baristas, to deliver outstanding guest experiences
Oversee food preparation and serving processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and quality control
Assist in training staff on service procedures, food safety protocols, and customer engagement techniques
Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and optimise table turnover to maximise efficiency
Monitor cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, ensuring compliance with health regulations
Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and tact
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication between front-of-house and food production teams
Support the implementation of promotional events or menu changes as required

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and service operations
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food production
Experience in team management, leadership, and staff training
Knowledge of hospitality industry standards gained through restaurant or hotel experience
Previous barista experience is advantageous but not essential
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently

Pay: £12.71-£13.20 per hour
