About Bliss Care

Bliss Care is owned and managed by two experienced nurses with extensive knowledge of care home operations. We are looking for a confident and compassionate Senior Carer / Care Team Leader to join our team.

Our purpose is to provide the highest standard of person-centred care to every resident. In this frontline leadership role, you will help ensure residents feel safe, respected, comfortable and well supported.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Carer / Team Leader, you will:

Lead, support and motivate care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
Assist the Care Home Manager with day-to-day operations and staff supervision
Administer medication safely and accurately in line with policies and procedures
Ensure residents’ care plans are accurate, up to date and reflect their individual needs
Monitor care standards and support compliance with CQC requirements
Communicate effectively with residents, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals
Support residents’ emotional, physical and social well-being
Act as a positive role model for the care team
Promote a safe, supportive and respectful working environment
Respond calmly and professionally to changing situations

About You

To be considered for this role, you must have:

At least two years’ experience in a similar senior care position, such as Senior Carer, Care Supervisor or Team Leader
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
A compassionate, reliable and professional approach
A commitment to delivering high-quality care
An understanding of CQC regulations and person-centred care
Confidence using digital systems and care technology
The flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required
A positive and approachable personality

An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent qualification, is preferred but not essential.
