Full job description

Company Profile:

Greentree, an established market leader in the design and manufacture of engineered rubber and plastic solutions for the protection and finishing industries has an opening for a Quoting & Procurement Assistant. This is an exciting new appointment following the companies' continued expansion and growth.

Greentree represent the global Caplugs & Shercon brands throughout the UK & Europe and also carry a wide range of products from other manufacturers such as 3M, Scapa & Advanced Tapes. With a wide range of customers from small regional powder coaters to multinational OEMs, opportunities at Greentree are exciting and varied.

Job Specification:

· Quoting of standard catalogue products

· Dealing with customer enquiries via email & telephone

· Setting up prospective customer quotations, inclusive of new contact information

· Using Sage 200 and Sage CRM

· Using online programs/sites to check availability and locations of needed products

· Exporting information on quotation reports

· Requesting prices from suppliers and searching for new or alternate supplies with company needs.

· Liaising with Freight Forwarders, checking freight costs and arranging collections/deliveries of products

· Updating contacts, special prices and memo notes for existing customers

· Perform additional ad hoc duties as necessary

Ideal Requirements:

The ideal candidate will:

· Have a basic understanding of Sage 200 and Sage CRM

· Have a good level of computer literacy and be familiar with the Microsoft Office suite especially Outlook, Word & Excel

· Have good negotiation skills and strong verbal reasoning/comprehension skills

· Have keen analytical mind and strong numerical reasoning skills

· Have pleasant telephone manner

· Have good time management skills

· Be reliable and calm under pressure

· Be able to work effectively as part of a team

· Be adaptable when required to help in other departments

· Have good understanding of the English language

The successful candidate will be given full product and systems training. Previous experience is not necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00 per year
