Garden Trends is a multi-channel retailer in the garden and leisure industry, selling barbecues, garden furniture and seasonal products. Our business is generated through our retail showrooms and online sales using many suppliers with a large product range.

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Head Office in Watlington, North of Henley, Oxfordshire. We are seeking someone who is available to start immediately.

You will be working in a safe but busy, fast-paced warehouse environment, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We are proud of our reputation, and you will be responsible for ensuring that our standards and values are maintained.

This is a very physical role and requires regular manual lifting of large, heavy garden furniture items.

Duties Include

Assisting with the daily picking of customer orders and processing
Ensuring all goods are picked for dispatch according to the picking procedure
Wrapping pallets of goods ready for dispatch
Ensuring correct labelling of all orders for dispatch
Loading and unloading containers of products
Replenishing warehouse stock as required to ensure availability for picking
Ensuring all dispatch vehicles are loaded correctly and on time

This is a broad definition of the role and may include additional duties where required.

The Individual

Essential requirements:

Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience in the UK
Experience working in a physically demanding/manual handling role
Ability to safely move large and bulky boxes
Reliable, punctual and able to work to set deadlines

Highly organised
Self-motivated with a ‘can-do’ attitude
Hardworking and able to work independently or as part of a team
Professional, positive, and enthusiastic approach
