Registered Manager – Children’s Home

Wokingham

Lumina Care Ltd is seeking an experienced, motivated, and resilient Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home in Wokingham. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people within a nurturing and supportive environment.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking professional with previous experience working within residential childcare settings, who can confidently lead a team, maintain high standards of care, and ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices.

As the Registered Manager, you will have the support of 2 directors, one social work qualified and both with extensive RI experience in Residential settings. This is a unique opportunity to grow with the company and progress quickly into the role of Responsible individual.

Essential Requirements

· Experience working within children’s residential care settings

· Previous management or leadership experience within residential childcare

· Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare completed or currently working towards

· Strong knowledge of safeguarding, childcare legislation, and Ofsted regulations

· Ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff teams effectively

· Resilient, reliable, organised, and able to work under pressure

· Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee the day-to-day management of the home

· Ensure high-quality care and safeguarding standards are consistently maintained

· Lead and support staff through supervision, training, and development

· Promote positive outcomes and experiences for children and young people

· Ensure the home remains compliant with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations

· Be available for on-call responsibilities.

· Develop strong relationships with external professionals, families, and stakeholders

· Maintain accurate records and effective management oversight systems
