Full job description

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee / Junior Land Surveyor & Measured Building Surveyor to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in surveying, working on a variety of projects across the UK. You will gain hands-on experience in both site-based surveying and office-based data processing, using the latest survey technology and industry-standard software.

Full training and ongoing development will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Site Surveying

Assist with and carry out topographical, measured building and engineering surveys.
Operate surveying equipment including Leica Robotic total station, GPS and scanner.
Collect accurate survey data in accordance with project requirements.
Maintain survey equipment and ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.

Data Processing & CAD

Download, process and manage survey data.
Produce survey drawings using AutoCAD, including:
Topographical surveys
Floor plans
Elevations
Sections
Process and extract information from point cloud data.
Assist with project delivery, quality control and survey documentation.

Essential Requirements

Competent user of AutoCAD.
Good IT skills and strong attention to detail.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Willingness to travel and occasionally stay away from home when required.
Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Skills & Experience

Previous experience in land surveying, measured building surveying or built environment.
Familiarity with Robotic Total stations, GPS and Laser Scanners.
Knowledge of N4ce, Cyclone register and AutoCAD.
Qualification in Surveying or closely related in Built Environment will be an advantage
