Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our culinary operations by ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.

Due to the rural location, a driving license and own transport or bicycle if local is considered essential.

Working week is Monday - Friday 10am to 5.30pm

Duties

Wash, dry, and store kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and dishes promptly to maintain a tidy workspace.
Help chefs with basic food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients as required.
Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, and equipment.
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by delivering items as needed.
Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Assist with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste.

Requirements

Previous experience in a hospitality or culinary environment is preferred but not essential.
A strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen setting.
Excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with team members.
A passion for food preparation and an eagerness to learn from experienced cooks and chefs.
Ability to follow instructions accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
