Job Title: Head of Facilities Management Division
Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Working Location: Predominantly office-based at our Stevenage head office, with site visits as required
Company Vehicle: Access to a company van for business-related travel and site visits

About the role

Elliotts Group Services is looking for an experienced and proactive Head of Facilities Management to lead and develop our FM division.

This is a hands-on management position with responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of facilities management services across our client portfolio. You will oversee contracts, Cost new fm business, coordinate employees and subcontractors, maintain strong client relationships and ensure that services are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

The role will be predominantly based at our head office in Stevenage; however, regular travel to client sites will be required to complete estimations etc. Access to a company van will be provided for business use.

Key responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day operation and continued development of the FM division.
Manage FM contracts from mobilisation through to ongoing service delivery.
Act as the main point of contact for clients, building strong and professional working relationships.
Attend client meetings and carry out regular site visits and inspections.
Coordinate planned preventative maintenance and reactive works.
Manage directly employed staff, subcontractors and service providers.
Obtain quotations, prepare costs and support the production of client proposals.
Monitor contract performance, service standards, budgets and profitability.
Ensure jobs are scheduled, completed and recorded accurately.
Review contractor reports, job sheets, compliance documents and certification.
Ensure subcontractors are competent, appropriately insured and suitably accredited.
Maintain contract records, asset information and compliance documentation.
Manage service issues, complaints and corrective actions promptly and professionally.
Identify opportunities to improve services and grow the FM division.
Support the mobilisation of new contracts and services.
Ensure all activities comply with company procedures, health and safety requirements and relevant legislation.
Work closely with the wider Elliotts Group management and operational teams.

About you

We are looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and confident managing multiple contracts and priorities. You should be comfortable working from the office while also taking a practical, visible approach at client sites.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience in facilities management, contract management or a similar operational role.
Experience managing planned and reactive maintenance services.
Strong leadership and people-management skills.
Experience managing subcontractors and external service providers.
Good commercial awareness, including budgeting, quotations and cost control.
Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
A strong understanding of health and safety and facilities compliance requirements.
The ability to prioritise a varied workload and respond effectively to urgent issues.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and job-management systems.
A full UK driving licence.

A recognised facilities management, health and safety or technical qualification would be advantageous but is not essential where suitable experience can be demonstrated.
