Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that all food safety standards are adhered to. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of chefs.
Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as required for various dishes.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
Ensure that all food is stored correctly and in compliance with food safety regulations.
Support catering events by preparing food items as directed.
Help with serving meals during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including roles in catering or restaurants.
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary practices is advantageous.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
