Digger Operator / Digger Driver

Location: Within 1 hour of Lincoln (Skellingthorpe based)
Salary: £14–£18 per hour (DOE)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the role

As a Digger Operator, you’ll play a key role in preparing and delivering landscaping projects from the ground up.

You’ll be trusted to operate machinery safely, efficiently, and to a high standard — while also supporting the wider team on-site.

Your key responsibilities:

Operate diggers and plant machinery safely and efficiently
Carry out groundwork and site preparation for landscaping projects
Support the team with paving, landscaping, and general site tasks
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised site
Deliver work to ALS Landscaping quality standards
Work professionally with team members and clients

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be a great fit if you:

✅ Have strong experience operating diggers and plant machinery
✅ Have landscaping or groundwork experience (preferred)
✅ Are reliable, hardworking, and take ownership of your work
✅ Work well as part of a team and are willing to get stuck in
✅ Have a full UK driving licence
✅ Care about quality, not just speed

This is not the role for you if:

❌ You cut corners or rush jobs
❌ You prefer to work independently without supporting the team
❌ You’re not bothered about site standards or finish quality
