Full job description

Parkland Motors is one of the Midlands' fastest-growing independent used car dealerships, with hundreds of quality vehicles in stock and an outstanding reputation for customer service. We're looking for an ambitious, motivated and customer-focused Used Car Sales Executive to join our successful sales team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive sales professional or an ambitious salesperson looking to build a long-term career within a growing business. The Role

As a Used Car Sales Executive, you will be responsible for guiding customers through every stage of the vehicle purchasing journey. From the initial enquiry through to vehicle handover and aftersales support, you'll ensure every customer receives a professional, honest and enjoyable buying experience.

You'll work with leads generated from our website, Auto Trader, social media, finance partners and walk-in customers, helping achieve individual and team sales targets while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome customers into the dealership and understand their individual needs.
Build strong relationships with customers and provide outstanding service throughout the buying journey.
Present and demonstrate vehicles professionally, explaining features, specifications and benefits.
Arrange and accompany test drives.
Prepare finance quotations and introduce customers to suitable finance products in accordance with FCA regulations.
Promote additional products including warranties, paint protection, GAP insurance and vehicle accessories where appropriate.
Manage customer enquiries via telephone, email, live chat and CRM systems.
Follow up leads promptly and maintain excellent communication throughout the sales process.
Negotiate vehicle sales while maintaining healthy profit margins.
Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and compliantly.
Work closely with the preparation, workshop and aftersales teams to ensure smooth vehicle handovers.
Maintain excellent product knowledge across a wide range of manufacturers and vehicle types.
Achieve monthly sales, finance and customer satisfaction targets.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience within automotive sales is preferred, although exceptional sales experience from other industries will be considered.
A genuine passion for cars and delivering excellent customer service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Confident negotiating and closing sales.
Self-motivated with a strong desire to exceed targets.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple customers and enquiries.
Comfortable using CRM systems and computer software.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a successful team.
Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
