Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children within our nursery setting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a nurturing environment, contributing to the early education and care of young children. The role involves working closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality care and educational activities, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for all children.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's developmental needs in line with early childhood education standards.
Supervise and monitor children’s behaviour, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment that promotes learning and exploration.
Support children's individual needs, including those requiring additional assistance or specialised care.
Assist with daily routines such as mealtimes, nappy changing, and sleep schedules.
Contribute to the organisation of outings, events, and special activities within the nursery setting.
Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure a secure environment for all children.

Skills

Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting.
Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in childcare.
Ability to organise activities that promote learning through play.
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Driving licence is desirable for supporting outings or transporting children when necessary. This role offers an enriching career path for individuals passionate about early childhood education, providing opportunities for professional growth within a supportive team environment.
