About Us
We are a leading bespoke fire doorset manufacturer based in the North West, supplying high-quality, compliant fire-rated doorsets to contractors, developers, architects, and specialist construction businesses across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Estimator to join our team.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and commercially minded individual to play a key role in our sales and project delivery process. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate quotations, managing customer enquiries, and overseeing projects from initial pricing through to order placement and production.
Working closely with customers, the sales team, and production staff, you will ensure that quotations are competitive, technically accurate, and converted into successful orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate quotations for bespoke fire doorsets and associated products.
- Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and customer requirements.
- Liaise with customers to clarify project details and provide technical support where required.
- Follow up quotations and maintain regular communication with clients.
- Manage projects from enquiry stage through to order confirmation and handover to production.
- Coordinate with production and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Maintain accurate records of quotations, orders, and customer communications.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for business growth and repeat business.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.
Desirable:
- Previous estimating, sales, or project coordination experience within manufacturing, construction, joinery, or fire doorsets.
- Knowledge of fire door regulations and certification requirements.
- Experience using estimating or ERP software.
