Professional Groundcare Machinery Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer / Plant Fitter
Location: near Maldon Essex
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Professional Service Technician / Groundcare Engineer / Mechanic / Agricultural Engineer. This role is vital in supporting our operations by carrying out reconditioning, servicing and repairs on a range of different machinery. This is a mostly workshop-based role but also includes some on site work. Excellent conditions with all the necessary tools and equipment - Heated workshops, Air conditioned canteen, PPE provided, excellent Health and Safety

Responsibilities

Reconditioning Machinery to high standards - in house training provided
Diagnose and repair faults on a variety of professional groundcare machines
Carry out servicing and maintenance
Work to a high standard to ensure reliability and performance of equipment
attend jobs on-site
Keep accurate records of work carried out

Experience

An honest, and reliable individual with a good work ethic
Experience working with professional groundcare machinery or tractors - other skills PCV, Forklift, Plant mechanic are acceptable alternatives
Good knowledge of Ransomes, John Deere, Kubota, Hayter, Trimax or similar brands would be preferred but in house training will be provided
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
relevant mechanical experience required
problem solving skills - esp mechanical skills relevant to the work
basic auto electrical fault finding skills - relays switches - continuity testing etc
