Your Role

The Gatwick School is looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced Raising Standards Lead Consultant on a one year fixed term basis.

The Raising Standards Lead Consultant is a key senior leadership role, responsible for driving school improvement and raising achievement across the whole school. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, contribute to the development of the school's vision and priorities, and ensure high-quality teaching and learning through effective curriculum design, staff development and robust monitoring and evaluation.

you have Qualified Teacher Status
you have substantial and recent teaching experience and a strong track record of raising standards and pupil outcomes
you have experience of leading, developing, or coaching staff to improve teaching and learning
you have the ability to drive strategic school improvement and contribute to whole-school priorities
you are confident in using data, monitoring and evaluation to inform decision-making and impact outcomes
you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate both staff and students

About Us

The Gatwick School opened in 2014 as an all-through primary and secondary school, located just a few minutes south of London Gatwick Airport. We currently have over 1000 pupils in the school. In the secondary phase, we are four-form entry throughout Years 7-11, whilst our Primary phase is two-form entry from Reception to Year 6. Our pupils are drawn from Crawley, Horsham, East Sussex and Surrey.

Under new leadership since September 2023, the school has undergone rapid improvement, and has ambitious plans for creating the best possible experience for our students, equipping them with all the skills they need for success, both now and in the future.
