Office & Operations Manager

(Right‑Hand Role / Senior Position)

Location: Watford / Office‑based (with some flexibility)
Hours: Part‑time or Full‑time (flexible for the right person)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role

We are a growing construction/carpentry business looking for a highly capable Office & Operations Manager to act as the backbone of the company.

This is not a junior admin role.
We are looking for someone who runs things, takes ownership, and keeps the wheels turning without needing day‑to‑day direction.

You will be the central point of the business — trusted, relied upon, and empowered to make decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

Running the day‑to‑day office and administrative operations
Managing emails, calls, diaries, and priorities
Invoicing, purchase orders, tracking costs, and chasing payments
Liaising confidently with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams
Keeping job paperwork, compliance documents, and records organised
Supporting management by spotting issues early and solving them
Putting systems and processes in place to keep the business running smoothly

About You

Practical — you understand how real businesses actually run

You’ll likely have:

Experience as an Office Manager, Operations Manager, Senior Admin, or Executive Assistant
Strong communication skills (written and spoken)
The confidence to make decisions and take ownership
Experience in construction or the trades is a bonus, but not essential
