Climbing Wall Technician (Multi-Skilled)
Location: Kong Climbing Ltd, Threlkeld Quarry, Keswick, CA12 4TT
Hours: Full-time. Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-3pm.
Salary: £12.71 per hour during probabtion. Hourly rate negotiable after successfully completing probation.
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:
We're looking for a practical, reliable, and motivated workshop technician to join our team. This is a varied, workshop-based role where no two days are the same—from building panels and cutting timber to assembling frames and helping with installations.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a decent base of experience in fabrication or construction who’s looking to grow their skillset and be part of something unique.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate plywood & GRP climbing wall panels to spec.
- Assembly and finishing of plywood volumes.
- Read and interpret technical drawings.
- Use a range of tools safely (saws, drills, grinders, sanders, etc.).
- Maintain a tidy, safe and efficient workshop.
- Occasionally, work on site installing climbing walls across the UK.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Previous hands-on workshop or construction experience (woodworking, fabrication, joinery, or similar).
- Confident with power tools and hand tools.
- Able to follow instructions, ask questions, and work independently when needed.
- A team player with a good attitude and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual, with good practical problem-solving skills.
- Valid UK driving license.
Desirable:
- Previous site work experience.
- Forklift or van driving experience.
- An interest in climbing or the outdoors.
- Experience in set-building, scenic carpentry, or creative fabrication projects.
