Datatel are currently looking for a Security Engineer (CCTV, Access Control & Intruder Alarms). Must have knowledge in CCTV Systems, Access Control & Intruder Alarms. Must also have experience in supporting a team of engineers.
The position would suit someone who has the advanced installation skills and wants to grow and move forward as the company expands. We are looking for a hard working ambitious individual who is a keen learner to become part of our close dynamic team.
Responsibilities
· Carry out a variety of CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms Systems related to installations within a mixture of environments.
· Work to tight deadlines and ensure tasks are completed to meet both the companies and the clients’ expectations.
· Work in accordance with health and safety policies and statutory Health and Safety Legislation.
· Lead role on multi personnel installations.
· Preparation and understanding of site-specific Risk Assessment's, on occasion as required.
· Completion of all projects related engineer's documentation, on occasion as required.
· Be point of contact and liaison with customer during installation.
Required Skills & Essential Requirements
· 5 years experience working out on the field and site
· Demonstrated expertise and understanding of CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms Systems Integrations to a technical degree.
· Reliability and strong communication skills to build relationships internally and externally with clients.
· Willingness to go the extra mile to support colleagues and customers.
· Flexibility in working hours and willingness to travel are essential for this role.
· Full and valid UK driving license.
· A good cabling background.
· Familiar with the installation and integration of CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms Systems.
· Good understanding of health and safety practice, preferably supported with an CSCS or ECS card.
· Previous experience in installing and commissioning CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms Systems.
· Able to work in a team or alone.
· An energetic work ethic, focussed on a positive and timely outcome.
· Able to work in England without requiring sponsorship or the processing of a work visa.
Desirable Requirements
· Hikvision and Axis CCTV systems installation and commissioning (other manufacturers are welcomed)
. Hikvision and Paxton Access Control systems installation and commissioning
. Texecom and Galaxy systems installation and commissioning
· Ability to read and interpret drawings
· Understanding of all aspect of security systems integration
· Possession of CSCS accreditation (or equivalent), IPAF, DBS, any other Manufacturers accreditations will be beneficial.
