Location: Kent & South East (client homes)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Flexible – weekday, school hours and occasional evenings available

Root & Nest is a boutique family lifestyle agency providing trusted mother's helpers, school-run support, weekly meal preparation, household organisation and bespoke organic kitchen garden services for private households, founders, executives and families with demanding lives.

The Role

No two days are the same.

Depending on the needs of each household, your responsibilities may include:

School and nursery drop-offs and pick-ups.
Providing engaging, age-appropriate childcare.
Preparing healthy family meals and batch cooking for the week ahead.
Organising kitchens, pantries and household spaces.
Grocery shopping and light household errands.
Supporting busy parents with day-to-day family logistics.
Assisting with laundry and general household organisation.
Helping maintain kitchen gardens and raised beds.
Harvesting fresh produce and preparing weekly harvest baskets.
Supporting children with gardening, nature activities and outdoor learning.

We're Looking For People Who:

Have experience caring for children or supporting families.
Are warm, professional and emotionally intelligent.
Take initiative and enjoy solving problems independently.
Are organised, dependable and trustworthy.
Are comfortable preparing nutritious family meals.
Enjoy gardening or have an interest in growing food (desirable but not essential).
Have excellent communication skills.
Respect confidentiality and client privacy at all times.

Essential Requirements

Full UK driving licence.
Access to your own reliable vehicle.
Right to work in the UK.
Ability to travel to client homes.
Satisfactory references.

DBS

An enhanced DBS certificate is preferred.

If you do not currently hold an in-date DBS certificate, Root & Nest may fund one for the right candidate.

Desirable Experience

Experience in one or more of the following is highly valued:

Childcare or nannying.
Teaching or nursery work.
Family PA or household management.
Meal preparation or cooking.
Gardening or horticulture.
Organic food growing.
Nutrition or healthy eating.
SEN experience.
First Aid qualification.
