Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling materials, managing stock, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with, or without, warehouse experience to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for maintaining customer orders, organising stock deliveries, order shipments, and assisting with various logistical tasks to support overall team efficiency. Applicants age 18+

Duties

Handling materials including loading, unloading, and moving stock within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
Operating warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, process orders, and update stock records accurately.
Picking and packing items for dispatch, ensuring correct quantities and quality standards are met.
Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation and accessibility.
Assisting with shipping and receiving procedures, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
Conducting quality control checks on received goods and prepared orders to maintain high standards.

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for specific equipment and systems.
Knowledge of materials handling techniques, including heavy lifting and load/unload procedures.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate order fulfilment and stock management.
Physical fitness to handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy loads safely.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the warehouse setting.

Pay: £10.85-£13.00 per hour
