Full job description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our warm, welcoming and nurturing nursery. Our children thrive, our staff feel valued, and we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality care and education. We are looking for a strong and supportive leader who shares our commitment to excellence and child-centred learning.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting teams, maintaining high standards of practice and helping to lead a nursery where children, families and staff thrive.

£14.29 per hour - £14.95 per hour

£33460 - £35000

Salary depending on experience.

Your Main Role and Responsibilities

As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will:

Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery
Lead and support staff to deliver high-quality care and education
Ensure the nursery operates in line with the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
Support staff development through guidance, mentoring and role modelling good practice
Build strong relationships with children, families and the wider community
Support the monitoring of children’s learning and development to ensure high-quality practice
Step into the Manager role when required to ensure smooth nursery operations

What We Are Looking For

Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices
Previous experience in a senior practitioner, room leader or leadership role
Excellent communication and team leadership skills
Commitment to delivering high-quality childcare and education
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
