Join a globally recognised art book publisher

At 3dtotal Publishing, we create books that inspire artists around the world. For more than 20 years, we've worked with some of the most respected artists, game studios, animation companies, and creative professionals to produce high-quality art books, educational resources, and creative publications.

We're a small and welcoming team of 12 people based in Worcester, and we're looking for a Marketing Manager who can bring energy, organisation, creativity, and commercial awareness to a varied and rewarding role.

If you're excited by art, illustration, animation, games, film, pop culture, and the creative industries, this could be a fantastic opportunity to work with a company that sits at the heart of the global art community.

The Role

This is a broad and hands-on role that combines marketing leadership, ecommerce management, social media strategy, crowdfunding campaigns, team management, and operational oversight.

You'll coordinate all marketing activity across the business, work closely with artists and influencers, support book sales, manage our Shopify store, and help bring exciting new publishing projects to life through Kickstarter campaigns.

As a small business, we value people who enjoy variety, take ownership of their work, and are happy to get involved wherever needed. No two weeks are quite the same.

The role reports directly to the Company Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Campaign Management

Lead and coordinate all marketing activity across the business.
Plan and deliver marketing campaigns for new book launches and existing publications.
Manage marketing schedules and ensure campaigns are delivered on time and to a high standard.
Help develop and strengthen the 3dtotal brand across all channels.

Social Media & Content

Lead the company's social media strategy and content planning.
Create, coordinate, and oversee engaging content across multiple social platforms.
Monitor performance and identify opportunities to grow our audience and increase engagement.
Work with artists and creators to support social promotion of books and publishing projects.

Kickstarter & Crowdfunding Campaigns

Lead the planning and marketing of Kickstarter campaigns for selected publishing projects.
Coordinate campaign content, launch activity, community engagement, and promotional schedules.
Work closely with artists and creators to maximise campaign reach and success.
Help identify opportunities to grow our crowdfunding audience and supporter community.

Sales & Retail Support

Support sales activity directed at book retailers and distribution partners.
Collaborate with colleagues to maximise the success of new and existing titles.
Assist in developing promotional opportunities with retail partners.

Ecommerce & Website Management

Manage and optimise our Shopify store.
Monitor online sales performance and customer experience.
Coordinate with external developers to support ongoing website maintenance and improvements.
Help identify opportunities to increase online sales and customer engagement.

Team & Operational Management

Manage and support the Marketing Assistant and relevant administrative staff.
Oversee stock level monitoring and post room operations.
Help ensure smooth day-to-day running of key operational areas.
Foster a positive, supportive, and collaborative team environment.

Community, Charity & Events

Promote and communicate the company's charitable giving initiatives.
Build relationships with artists, partners, and members of the creative community.
Provide occasional support at industry events, exhibitions, conventions, and trade shows.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys combining creativity with organisation and can comfortably switch between strategic planning and practical day-to-day tasks.

You'll be a confident communicator, a strong organiser, and someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.

Essential Skills & Experience

Experience in a marketing management or senior marketing role.
Hands-on experience managing a Shopify ecommerce store.
Experience creating and managing content for social media channels.
Experience managing and supporting team members.
Strong project management and organisational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Confidence working with external partners, creators, and suppliers.

Desirable Experience

Experience running Kickstarter or crowdfunding campaigns.
Experience within publishing, ecommerce, creative industries, or related sectors.
Experience working with artists, influencers, or creator communities.
Understanding of digital marketing analytics and campaign reporting.

Personal Qualities

Enthusiastic, proactive, and self-motivated.
Friendly and approachable with strong people skills.
Comfortable working in a small business environment.
Interested in creative culture and visual storytelling.
Passionate about art, illustration, animation, games, film, and wider pop culture.

What We Offer

Salary of £38,000 – £40,000 depending on experience.
Hybrid working arrangement.
Office-based Monday to Wednesday (25.5 hours across three days), with home working for the remainder of the week.
Flexi-time working.
20 days annual leave plus statutory holidays.
