We are seeking a dedicated Production Operative to join our growing team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional furniture.

Job Overview:

As a Production Operative at Pipe Dream Furniture, you will play a key role in the production, preparation, and packaging of our furniture products. This hands on role involves a variety of tasks, including painting shelves, packing parcels, assembling furniture, cleaning industrial furniture, and performing general warehouse duties. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, reliable, and thrives in a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Painting Shelves: Apply high-quality paint finishes to shelves and other furniture components, ensuring a consistent and professional appearance.
Packing Parcels: Safely and efficiently pack furniture items for shipping, ensuring products are secure and meet company standards.
Furniture Assembly: Build and assemble furniture pieces according to specifications, maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Cleaning Industrial Furniture: Clean and prepare industrial-style furniture, ensuring products are free of dust, debris, or imperfections.
General Warehouse Tasks: Assist with stock organisation, inventory management, loading/unloading deliveries, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
Quality Control: Inspect products for defects and ensure all items meet Pipe Dream Furniture’s quality standards.
Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a tidy work environment to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.

Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and handling tools/equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Basic knowledge of painting, assembly, or woodworking techniques is a plus.
Team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
