Job Summary

William Sitwell has opened a restaurant! In its short history it is already making a big name for itself. Join our young team now as we move forward into the exciting next stage of building the business.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the smooth operation of our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality. This role involves supervising daily restaurant activities, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and fostering a positive environment for both staff and guests. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will play a vital role in maintaining high service standards and supporting the management team to achieve operational excellence.

Duties

Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving processes.
Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining efficiency.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold high standards of food quality and presentation.
Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to optimise team productivity.
Support in training new staff members in hospitality procedures, food safety protocols, and service standards.
Assist in inventory management, stock control, and ordering supplies as needed.
Handle guest enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
Support the management team in implementing promotional activities and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health regulations.

Qualifications

Proven supervisory or team management experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
Experience with food safety standards and food production processes.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members.
Background in restaurant experience, including serving or barista experience is advantageous.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
Knowledge of hospitality principles, including customer service excellence and hospitality etiquette.
Previous experience in culinary roles or hotel environments is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from individuals passionate about hospitality who are eager to contribute to our vibrant team while developing their managerial skills within a dynamic setting.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
