Attendance Officer (with Exams & Admin Oversight)

Are you highly organised, proactive and confident leading systems and people? Do you have the resilience, attention to detail and initiative to get stuck in and make a real difference to student outcomes?

In Toto Ed London is a registered Independent Special School with an Alternative Provision for post-16 students, supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and mental health (MH) needs. We provide a structured, supportive and nurturing environment where students are encouraged to build confidence, develop resilience and re-engage with learning.

We are looking for a committed and capable Attendance Officer who will take a lead role in improving student attendance, supporting examinations processes and overseeing the administration team.

The Role

As Attendance Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving student attendance across the school, ensuring accurate systems and timely follow-up. You will also support the Exams Officer with the smooth administration of examinations and line manage the school administration team to ensure efficient and high-quality operations.

This is a varied and impactful role suited to someone who is organised, analytical and confident working across multiple areas of school operations.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience in an administrative or school-based role
Has strong organisational and time management skills
Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Is confident analysing data and producing clear, accurate reports
Is confident using school systems (such as MIS) and Microsoft Office
Has experience of line managing or supervising staff
Is proactive, solution-focused and able to manage competing priorities
Demonstrates professionalism, discretion and strong interpersonal skills
Is willing to get stuck in and go above and beyond to support the school

Desirable

Experience in attendance or pastoral support
Knowledge of attendance regulations and processes
Experience supporting examinations administration
Experience leading an administrative team within an education setting
