About the role

alfour Beatty is looking for a motivated General Operative to join our Power T&D team, supporting high-voltage overhead transmission projects across wales

This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of project stores and site operations, working closely with HGV Drivers, Stores teams, and site operatives.

What you'll be doing

You’ll support the day-to-day running of site and yard operations, including:

Assisting with loading and unloading delivery vehicles
Supporting stock control, materials handling, and plant coordination
Checking deliveries for quality, quantity, and damage
Coordinating materials to meet site operational needs
Maintaining a safe, organised, and secure working yard
Supporting plant and equipment hire processes
Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety requirements

You’ll also work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep projects running efficiently

Who we're looking for

Essential:

Full clean UK driving licence
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Desirable:

Experience within construction or infrastructure projects
Knowledge of the power / utilities sector
Telehandler licence
OHL authorisations
First Aid at Work
