Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Mechanic to join our team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in mechanical maintenance and repair within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced technicians, contributing to the upkeep and optimisation of various equipment and machinery. This paid apprenticeship is ideal for individuals passionate about mechanics and eager to build a career in the engineering sector.

Responsibilities

Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment.
Learn to interpret technical schematics and mechanical diagrams under supervision.
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks.
Support with routine maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency.
Participate in equipment troubleshooting and identify potential issues before they escalate.
Help with heavy lifting and moving parts or machinery components safely.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
Provide excellent customer service by ensuring repairs meet quality standards and client expectations.

Requirements

Basic understanding of mechanical principles; previous experience with schematics is advantageous but not essential.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly processes preferred.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding conditions.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards customer service.
Willingness to learn new skills through training programmes provided during the apprenticeship.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £25,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
