We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bustling bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage service. Responsibilities
- Manage the overall operation of the bar, including staff scheduling, training, and supervision to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes related to bar menu items, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Supervise and motivate team members, fostering a positive work environment with excellent team management practices.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations across all aspects of food production and service.
- Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to meet operational needs efficiently.
- Develop innovative drink menus in collaboration with culinary staff, incorporating current trends and customer preferences.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly to uphold high standards of hospitality.
- Monitor service quality, cleanliness, and organisation within the bar area to ensure an inviting atmosphere.
- Collaborate with other departments such as kitchen or hotel staff to coordinate events or special functions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supervising or managing within a restaurant or hospitality environment, ideally with restaurant experience or hotel experience.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles such as barista experience or culinary experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively under pressure.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Experience in supervising food safety compliance and implementing health regulations.
