Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a KP. This role involves supporting kitchen operations and ensuring the smooth preparation and presentation of food within a dynamic hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for culinary arts, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is highly desirable.

Duties

Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and plating dishes according to established recipes and standards
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with health and safety regulations
Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages
Follow food safety procedures diligently to ensure high standards of hygiene are upheld
Support serving staff as needed, including delivering food to tables or assisting with customer requests
Contribute to creating a welcoming environment for guests through professional conduct and hospitality skills

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred
Knowledge of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, and food safety standards
Experience working in hotels or other hospitality settings is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour suitable for customer service roles
Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions accurately
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
