Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Officer to join our care home team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals within a supportive environment. The role is paid and suitable for individuals committed to delivering excellent care with professionalism and empathy.

Duties

Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility needs.
Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
Monitor residents' health conditions, report any changes or concerns promptly to senior staff.
Support residents in engaging with social activities and promote their independence.
Maintain accurate records of care provided, medication administration, and any incidents or observations.
Ensure the care environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming at all times.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and team members to ensure coordinated care delivery.
Drive residents to appointments or outings as required, subject to holding a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and documentation.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst demonstrating compassion and patience.
A caring attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals’ health and wellbeing.
