Moorgate Finance Limited is a well-established and continuously evolving commercial finance brokerage with a clear ambition to become a one-stop shop for commercial finance and, ultimately, one of the leading brokerages in the UK market. Having recently celebrated our tenth anniversary, we have facilitated over £600 million in funding to date.
Our headquarters are based near Towcester and are commutable from Bedford, Milton Keynes, Northampton and the surrounding areas.

We are now looking for an Outbound Sales Team Leader to join and help grow our existing sales team.

The Role

This role exists to lead the performance, capability, and development of the Sales Development Representative (SDR) function, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality opportunities into the wider Sales team.

The Outbound Sales Team Leader is accountable for team performance, activity effectiveness, opportunity quality, and capability development across the outbound sales function. The role combines people leadership with specialist responsibility for call quality standards, ensuring customer interactions consistently reflect the company's professionalism, consultative approach, and ambition to be "The Finance Partner".

The role requires strong leadership capability, commercial awareness, performance management expertise, and the ability to develop others through coaching, feedback, and structured improvement. Success is achieved through sustainable team performance, strong opportunity conversion, continuous capability development, and visible contribution to overall Sales effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

This is a varied and hands-on role that combines outbound sales activity with team support and performance development. You will help drive new business opportunities through outbound phone and email outreach, while also supporting, coaching and monitoring the wider team.

Key responsibilities will include:

Monitoring calls, providing coaching and analysing team performance
Supporting the sales team with outbound activity
Actively targeting new business through phone and email-based outreach
Converting cold and warm leads into qualified opportunities for the sales team
Developing and delivering compelling sales pitches that clearly communicate our value proposition
Maintaining regular contact with our customer base to keep them informed of industry news and developments, with a view to increasing Moorgate’s brand exposure
Identifying new market developments and trends across a range of sectors, and feeding insights back to the Marketing team
Using CRM software to track interactions, manage leads and report on progress
Maintaining and cleansing CRM data to support more accurate and effective marketing activity
Achieving and exceeding monthly targets for qualified leads and booked appointments

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a motivated, proactive and results-driven cold caller who wants to take this experience and become the champion of the team. You will take ownership of their performance and celebrate their successes, whilst continuing to lead by example and bring the best out of team.

This is a full-time, office-based role working five days per week.
