Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as an Optical Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional eye care experiences! In this energetic role, you will support optometrists and optical professionals by assisting with patient consultations, lens and frame selections, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for. Duties

Greet patients warmly and assist them with their optical needs, including frame selection and fitting.
Prepare and maintain optical equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper calibration for accurate testing.
Support optometrists during eye examinations by preparing instruments and recording patient information.
Manage patient appointments efficiently, confirming schedules and providing clear instructions.
Maintain detailed records of patient prescriptions, lens orders, and inventory levels.
Assist in laboratory tasks such as lens cutting, edging, and assembly to ensure timely delivery of eyewear.
Provide product knowledge on lenses, frames, and accessories to help patients make informed choices.

Qualifications

Previous laboratory experience or familiarity with optical equipment is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of human anatomy, particularly related to the eye, to assist with patient care accurately.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and record keeping.
A proactive attitude with a passion for helping others see their best.
