Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing patient records, and providing excellent patient care. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a professional pharmacy environment, contributing to the safety and wellbeing of our patients. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a keen interest in healthcare and pharmacy services.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and organising medication supplies
Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on over-the-counter products
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Prepare and label medication packages for distribution
Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and inventory management
Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards at all times

Requirements

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar healthcare support role is preferred
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy operations
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A genuine interest in patient care and healthcare services
Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy support or healthcare are advantageous
