Full job description

Due to a member of our administration team relocating, we are looking for an experienced Dental Administrator to join our team at Sean Murphy Dental Care in the heart of Bruntsfield, south side Edinburgh.

We are a modern independent NHS and Private Practice dedicated to providing the highest standards of dental health for our patients in this friendly environment where we provide a comprehensive range of dental treatment.

The Dental Administrator is responsible for providing a welcoming environment to our patients. As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring their experience with us is positive from the moment they walk through the door. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a dental practice, managing administration duties including the appointment system SoE Exact, payments and patient enquiries. We are looking for an administrator with exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, able to multitask and work well under pressure while always maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities include:

Welcome patients in a warm and friendly manor, making them feel at ease
Manage the front desk, including answering phone calls and emails, scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, dealing with dental labs, collecting and recording patient payments, completing relevant NHS forms
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times
Collaborate closely with our dental team to coordinate patient appointments and optimize diary efficiency
Provide administrative support, including managing patient files and sending patient estimates

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Edinburgh EH10 4EB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
