Job Title: Buyer – Maternity Cover

Report to: Head Of Buying

Location: HQ, Trafford Park, Manchester (Full Time Monday to Friday)

Established in 1994, The Fragrance Shop is the UK’s leading independent fragrance retailer. Our aim is to make mainstream and luxury fragrances affordable and accessible to all. We showcase over 130 fragrance brands available in over 220 stores throughout UK, online at www.thefragranceshop.co.uk, and via our app and mobile site, as well as over the phone. The Fragrance Shop is on a steep growth track with many exciting new development plans.

Role Snapshot: As part of a multi-channel retail business with ambitious growth plans, you will work alongside the visual merchandiser to ensure smooth running of the department. Experience as a Buyer is essential.

Responsibilities:

Keeps abreast of competitor offer/pricing & reacts where necessary

Primary contact for suppliers’ sales teams

Build product ranges to support promotional events

Seeks new products to drive incremental sales

Set core & promotional retail pricing & maximize product margin

Forecast new & promotional line stock requirements

Provide stock & sales data for suppliers

Provide ad-hoc reports

Oversee ordering of all stock, testers & promotional items

Analyze performance of Sku’s

Experience/Skills:

Ability to embrace change

Solid business acumen
Excellent excel skills
Experience of FMCG range management
Numerate & analytical
Good communicator skills
