Full job description

STD Development LTD is looking to recruit a skilled Warehouse Operative who possesses prior experience in a high-traffic transport warehouse setting.

We seek an individual eager to learn and who has a background in warehouse operations. While experience with forklifts and HGVs is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement. As a family-owned business, STD Development LTD aims to integrate a new member into our small night team. The night shift requires a dependable and industrious individual.

Primary responsibilities encompass:

Loading and unloading merchandise from vehicles
Moving pallets or crates throughout the warehouse, scanning into warehouse and out onto trucks
Performing daily inspections of equipment
Opening and closing trailer curtains
loading and unloading of trucks as required- following a run sheet to load correctly
Ensuring the upkeep of the site.

The ideal candidate should:

Have experience in operating a forklift
Hold some experience in HGV driving
Demonstrate fundamental mathematical abilities for calculating weights and dimensions
Show a comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations
Maintain excellent physical fitness, as the position entails considerable physical activity, including lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing. We encourage you to apply now!

Full training will be provided, starting wage £550 going up to £600 per week after training.

Schedule:

Night Shift 11pm until 8:30am
Monday to Friday

Licence/Certification:

Some HGV driving experience (preferred but not mandatory)
Forklift Licence (preferred but not mandatory)
