Full job description

Thornton Manor is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and practical individual to join our team as a Groundsman / Handyman / Maintenance Person.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and is confident carrying out general maintenance tasks to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Basic repairs and upkeep across buildings and outdoor areas
Painting, minor carpentry, and general DIY tasks
Supporting with setup and upkeep for events when required
Ensuring the estate is kept clean, safe, and presentable at all times
Identifying and reporting maintenance issues proactively
General grounds maintenance (grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, leaf clearing)

About You

Practical and hands-on with good all-round maintenance skills
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
Able to work independently and manage your own workload
Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work
Flexible and willing to help where needed
Full UK driving licence preferred
