Duty Manager at Harbour Lights

Are you ready to take the helm at Harbour Lights? We’re looking for a Duty Manager to lead, manage, and coordinate the daily operations of our award-winning fish and chip shop. This role isn’t just about keeping things running, it’s about delivering big smiles, WOW experiences, and a workplace where our team can flourish.

The Role

As Duty Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our operation, ensuring every guest leaves happy, every team member feels valued, and every shift runs smoothly. From handling customer service and team leadership to overseeing food quality and safety, you’ll be the go-to person for making sure Harbour Lights shines.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the team across all departments. Restaurant, Takeaway, and Kitchen.

Manage the team fairly and with empathy.

Ensure the safety and security of everyone in our space, from guests to team members and contractors.

Maintain the highest standards of food quality, service, and hygiene.

Keep the premises looking their best, inside and out.

Handle guest queries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and care.

Ensure team morale stays high, creating a respectful, safe, and fun working environment.

Oversee stock management, keeping an eye on waste and availability.

Carry out cashing-up procedures

Ensure the team understands and follows company policies and procedures.

Proven experience in managing or supervising.

A proven track record in customer service.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

The ability to stay calm and think fast in a busy environment.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
